The response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Americas has been a significant challenge to PAHO over the past years, and the evaluation of such efforts serves as a critical tool for assessing and improving PAHO's response initiatives. By shedding light on key achievements and identifying existing gaps, this evaluation report, published in June 2023, offers an invaluable roadmap for enhancing future preparedness and response strategies. These insights help guide the way forward, ensuring that the Organization can more effectively address and mitigate the impacts of future public health emergencies. Moreover, the report offers a range of actionable and practical evidence-based recommendations.
